I have a “what if” question…

This is truly a WHAT IF QUESTION…

What if you saw a anti gun lawmaker in the process of getting mugged at gun point…you were close enough to know by the conversation the bad guy was going to shoot…it WAS going to happen, you just weren’t sure when.

At that point…would you follow the MN law and run away to safety and call the police??? Or would you break the law, save an innocent person AND risk the possibility of going through the legal system for someone that clearly didn’t want a weapon in your hands?

When I was asked this question, my knee jerk reaction was to save the innocent…but then I started thinking about it. Could I count on the DA not to prosecute? The anti gun lawmaker doesn’t want law abiding citizens to have a weapon for protection…so why should I risk my future for someone that clearly didn’t want ANYONE to protect themselves or others???

    Pretty cold huh?

With all the shootings going on at the malls and places of worship is it too extreme to think about what one would do if shots started ringing out??

Now I know the above could never happen, ’cause all the anti lawmakers have armed body guards…but it is a “What If” question.

No matter what “I think” or predict what I would do in this situation, most likely instincts would kick in and I would react accordingly. No law would ever prevent me from saving someone’s life regardless of who they are or what they stand for. That also doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t regret my decision later on.

Pretty much what Grifter said. I believe it is the responsibilty of those able to protect the good from bad. In the mall situation if a C&C person took out the shooter there is no chance in hell they would be prosecuted. Everyone has the decision whether or not to place themselves in harms way and I doubt any of us know what we would do unless the situation arrose. I would like to think I would take that person out if they were about to kill many innocent people.

I’ve always enjoyed and welcomed confrontation, so regardless of the politicians views I would probably jump in and try to help him out. I was always taught to use whatever advantage to make a friend of an enemy. I can’t think of a better way to reform the politician’s anti-gun stance than to save his life by using one. Having said that, I hope to hell it never happens!

I say the law maker made his choice as to where he stands, now he would just have to live with it (or not) but I Would nor risk my freedom for his life. He could just as easy made the decision to take care of himself. And allow us to do the same.
