7-30 waters

Dave,

I certainly hope you have plenty of Purple/Chartruese tail on hand

any one here shoot a 7-30 waters
if you do can you suggest a handload that will work well on deer at up to 300yds

Great cartridge for deer. I used to shoot a 7-30 Waters out of a 14″ contender, loved it. But due to Arthritis in my hands, I sold it several years ago. It took a while to find a load my gun liked, but when I found it, it was deadly accurate. I started with the recommended loads in their “Contender” loading book, then gradually changed the loads and cartridge length till I found “the load”. Good luck and have fun.

what grain bullet were you using
