    Ok

I am going to use my SW 357 mag, 6″ barrell, it has stock grips and sights.

I have big hands, what are some rec for grips?

Also I heard that the Red Dot set up is the best for shooting?

How about loads for deer hunting?

I haven’t found any after market grips that are larger than the stock one’s. If you do find some grips you like, I’ll buy the stock grip off your .357 if they are not dinged up.

How far of a shot do you need to make? The stock sights are pretty good too!

What ever bullets you end up buying make sure you read the box first. A friend of my forgot his at home a few years ago. Ended up buying target loads, not knowing this until after the fact. Nice 12 pointer 40 yards out and all he could do was knock the wind out of him. Man was he one mad hunter. He drove back to Rochester that night to get his normal shells.

Check out Hogue rubber slip on grips.
I just picked up one for my slippery hard grip auto. It is nice and sticky and has built in between finger bumps. It was only $6 and well worth it.

I don’t know if they make them for revolvers but it’s worth a look. Sportsmans Warehouse seemed to have the best selection in the cities.

    Good luck,

    Ferny.

Or you could start reloaded and make some nice hunting loads yourself.

So how does this setup do at the range?
I am wondering what your max range will be for you to feel comfortable shooting at a deer?

    Thanks,

    Ferny.

    Just my personal opinion……..With a .357 – 50yds tops…

The .38 bullet’s energy level drops off rather quickly..

Even when using my .44 handloads I don’t like trying anything much further out…with perfect conditions..75-80 tops.

    But that’s just me

Moreyes – The Buffalo Bore rounds look good to me….What grain you using?
