Does anybody have a copy of their manual that shows the correct position that the sealing rings need to be, to fire 3 inch mags? I just purchased a Belgian A-5 Mag, and the printing on the paper sticker, inside of the forearm is wore off, and unreadable.
While I am asking questions, is there any problem shooting shells similar to the Kent rounds that are around 1550-1600 fps? I don’t want to hurt it.
It will only be used as my “fair weather” duck gun.
    Thanks,
    Rivy

Browning’s web site has owners manuals in pdf form.

Thanks, Mallard! I am glad you sent me the link, because my “internet police”, here at work, won”t allow me to get to Browning.com. I do notice that this is probably for the “Japan” A-5. Do you happen to know if it is the same for the Belgian? My piece is almost 50 years old.

This is for any magnum A-5, the only “improvement” I know that Japan made was the invector barrels.

They should be the same recoil system.

That is cool to bring the gun into the marsh on nice days, but my Belgiums are staying in the display case on the wall. The duck swamp is a nasty place to be if you are a gun.

I need a 90% or better Standard 20 ga. to finish my set.

Here are a couple links to help you find out the age of your gun.

Happy shooting and keep that gun nice.
