One thing I noticed about Bills IDA shoots is

That everyone has a good time and wants to come back!

The group that was there tonight were more mouthy..than our first group….I’m not sure if it was because everyone was more comfortable because most had shot there before..or if it was because someone forgot to lock up the Mt Dew before Slider arrived. With Tuck there it was like giving a snickers bar to an over active two year old.

I think everyone agrees that for $13. plus ammo it’s a heck of a good time.

I would list everyones scores…but I know they aren’t of interest here…so I’m not going to waste your time by posting them.

It was Ryan, the managers 10th annaversary tonight. I want to personally thank him and his wife for being there tonight…but you could have said something Ryan, we could have changed the date. Either way, just buy your wife a 2k diamond and she’ll be happy for another year. I’ll have John M call her and let her know to expect it.

    Back to shooting!

The rounds went a lot faster this time due to runnng through these more often. I think Ryan and Bruce have the directions down very good and understandable as the only person I saw not following them was Tuck. Strong hand ONLY Tuck! that only cost 35 points!

We shot three sessions with enough time left over to shoot one more if we would have liked too.

Let’s see if I can get some pictures up…

Bill’s changed the lighting levels to low and turned on the police lights to give it that “in the street” feeling.

It made me feel like asking the guy next to me if I could score some “rock”…but the guy next to me was Tuck…and I knew all he had was a couple kindney stones.

Pictured here is Sliderfishing and his two friends…sorry for no names guys. I’ll have everyone PRINT them next time! ..and the back side of Ryan giving instruction.

loogie, Ferny and Tucks friend Roger getting ready for the first round of fire.

The first few rounds are at close range with pleanty of time to shoot…in the progressing of the stations, there are items added to make the shooting more challenging. Things like using only your strong hand, your weak hand supported with your strong hand, shooting around a barracad and shooting at the target moving towards you.

All of these things and knowing that the target will be turning sideways after a lenght of time adds to the challenge. It’s not like going to a range and just shooting at a target!

Now I wouldn’t want to brag…but…I was squeezing off my last shot when the target turned sideways… a person has to admit…the only better shot would be if the bottom half of the target fell off.

The horiziontal line above my side arm is from the bullet hitting the target when it was facing sideways.

After showing this to Slider…I heard him say under his breath…”wow! I want to shoot like bk someday”. Well I think that’s what he said anyway.

    Always a good report

The wife shot a 127/225, I shot a 295 out of 375. We could both benefit from a little more range time. Either way we had a blast Heck of a good time for $13.

Thanks to Bills gun range and those IDA’ers that set this up

I bought two extra Mags for my .45, shot 2 rounds, shot my CC .40, and still got out of there for $50!
    What a blast!

Thanks again Brian for setting this shoot up for us!
Thanks to Ryan and the staff at Bill’s they are really top notch. They even loaned Loogie and I an extra mag so we could shoot our .22’s for the second round! They are really helpful!

I had a blast (pun intended) with 2 multi fire rounds and before/after shooting I went threw 200 rounds of .45ACP, 70 rounds .44 Mag, and 200 rounds of .22! It was truly a fun time. I had never shot weak handed before…I see I could use some more practice with that. I especially like the 6″ fire balls flying out of the muzzle of my .22 while using CCI Stingers (1640 FPS)

    Thanks again,

    Ferny.

Tuck and BK having their shootout, I did warn Tuck about standing that close to BK but he would not listen. In this picture you can see Briank’s Crimson Trace Laser on his target, too bad BK could not hit where he was aiming

Slider…because of the angle…it does look like my target…but that was actually Tucks that the lazer is on.

It was a good time and we’ll do it again soon!
