I think they are an excellent gun, the machining on the action is the same tollerances as on m1 bennelli according to a friend that owns a machine shop, and shoots bennelli’s 3 to 5 days a week. my opinon you cant go wrong with them for the money. as close to a bennelli as your gonna get for half the price. good luck.

The gunsmith at Coyote Creek in Rochester told me that it has the exact same components/parts as Benelli’s and Franchi’s. It depends on how much you want to spend. He said he would buy the Stoeger and save the $$

I have a camo M2000 that I bought for Turkey hunting. I liked the way it handled so much that I started using it as my pheasant gun. I haven’t had a single issue with it. The only complaint I have is that it has been extremely tough to get my hands on a slug barrel for it.

I bought the model 2000 in the Timber HD with the 26inch barrel. This is what I found out from Benelli USA.Stoger is owend by Benelli USA.Placed under the owner ship in 2000.The Stoger autloaders has the same Inertia system action that is in the Benelli guns.ID Inertia driven. The “Inertia Driven “logo proclaims that the model 2000 action features the patented inertia bolt with its rotating locking head-the same system that has given inertia operated shotguns their reputation for being among the fastest cycling, most reliable shotguns in the world. The revolutionary inertia bolt has fewer moving parts and eliminates the gas cylinders,O-rings and other complicated parts traditional gas operating systems. It also keeps the guns action cleaner, since gas and burnt powder are kept in the barrel where they belong. The Inertia System is the most reliable, cleanest and fastest shooting system with fewer parts for slimness, lightweight balance and ease of maintenance. This is the info I got from Benelli . We put 100 rounds threw it last sunday shooting trap and So far I love the gun.
