Buying guns from Walmart?

I am looking for a Remington 1187 Autoloader and I see there are very few around. I never purchased guns from the big W but I see that they have some guns in stock but you can also order them there. I priced some out and they have CHEAP guns too!! Has anybody purchased guns from Walmart before? An associate there told me that Walmart is getting out of selling firearms and there selling whats left in there stock and local shops will be glad when there out of the business cause they sell them for much less.

Yes, everything that you explained is just as I have heard or experienced. They are cheap, they are getting out of the gun business and the local store owners will not be disappointed.
I used to buy a few guns from them for the Ducks Unlimited banquets. No problems.

i bought a 410 from there for my wife for deer hunting. tried two different ones both could not hit the bullseye .bought one from a gun shop first shot bullseye.

Buddy baught a .17 from them the wood is real cheap looking and same results with accuracy have not figured it out yet.
He could be that bad of a shot though
