    Jack did’nt invent the .270 he just made it famous writing about his adventures with it.

    I guess I am getting old. I knew he didn’t invent it but did make it the popular cartridge it is.

    He was a big promoter of speed vs. energy.

    I have one of these and it has been a great gun for fox and coyote. I have not had to shoot one past 80-90 yards but I have taken a few through the shoulders and it has put them right down. It also puts a very small hole in the hide with no exit when the shoulders are hit. It will fragment very quickly if ANY brush is hit, so make sure you have a open shot.

    Just an update on my .17 I ranged a fox the other day @ 175 yards put the crosshairs on the shoulder an let one rip………it ran about 50 yards and fell over deader than a nail.

    I love that gun. A lot of bang for your bucks!
