I’m not what I would think of as a “marksman”….but this was the first shot at just over 21 feet with the XD-45. Just raising the gun and pulling the trigger.
A guy can get lucky can’t he??

Yes, 2 of them. Both 45’s. I think my next one will be a sub compact in .40.

I would LOVE a 45 in subcompact! But again, I don’t foresee this happening in my life time.
I liked the looks of the bi tone 4″ service model. It’s not to bad for concealing…but when it hold 14 rounds of 200 grain Hornady TAP’s…it does get a bit heavy.
Do you have the service or tactical models?

PS I’m trying to keep my cal’s to a minimum. I’ve never owned a 45 before or a .40…so it was a toss up.
A couple of the guys on the site bought the .40 and I fell in love with them…If I didn’t have the Glock 26, I would have gone with the .40 sub.

Both are the 4″ service models. Not bad in the colder weather to hide but a lot harder in the summer. There is
always open carry but too many soccer moms get excited, and NOT in a good way.

Yeah…open carry isn’t an option in my book…those soccer mom’s get too excited when the are in my presents anyway.
Don’t worry Lou, ain’t going to happen!

Brian, selling that Glock yet?
Well, they are cheap to shoot!
Shoot the .40 and .45 and go back to the 9mm. It is like a cap gun! You will be suprised how accurate you will become with the 9!

Ya know Chris…after bitching for several months about my slightly left leaning shooting….as you know I got that Crimson Trace Laser Grip. I’m still learning how to use it, but I’ve come a long way in just a few short weeks of actively learning about it.
I’m ALMOST to the point of challenging anyone in a test.
21 feet…Five two shot rounds with the gun at the lowered ready position…
I can shoot faster…AND more accuratly than many iron site shooters now…but I need to practice a bit more for the LEO type guys.
This is not bragging…because it’s not me, it’s the tool that I use. Everytime I’m shown another way to use it I’m impressed. Heck at the last concealed carry class I said a laser won’t do you much good for personal defense…
I’m eating my words…
Just for clarificaton, practicing with the iron sights on your weapon is still very important… using the laser as an aid is an awesome advantage. Actually, it’s an immediate decisive advantage!

PPS:
That is why I bought the Kimber over the XD. And you know how hot I was on the XD! I also wanted the sub-45. When I was told they most likely would not come out with it I went with the ACP that I can put a CT laser on. I loved shooting yours! That unit makes a world of difference, and puts a lot of confidence in your abilities!
