Rem-Oil for everything. I use Hoppes Bench Rest 9 to clean my 30-06 bore after target practice but Rem on everthing else. Seems fine after many years.

    MILITEC-1

CHARACTERISTICS: MILITEC-1 Synthetic Metal Conditioner has the unique ability to create a complex, molecular compound within the surface of heated gunmetal. This causes MILITEC-1 to become part of the metal, not merely a temporary coating or a boundary film. There are two main characteristics of this safe new compound. First, it seals and conditions the metal by stiffening (not hardening) the metal surface. Second, it makes the gunmetal self-lubricating under all environmental conditions.

I bought a sample at Game Fair a few years ago. I’ve used it a little, but haven’t give it a through test. I would be interested to hear what others have to say about it.

I am a huge fan of Militec. I read up a lot on it for use on CC weapons. It is widely recommended as a lubricant on weapons carried that your life depends on! The key with lubricants is to apply them to the right spot and amount. A little dab will do ya as the old saying goes. Oil grabs ahold of lint and dirt. Bad things for any gun. Slide or friction spots, and a little dab of Militec synthetic, and you are in business! I was a huge Break Free guy in the service. But even that gets thick during late season goose hunts, and in an autoloader creates issues. I have had them. Not with Militec. Another good lube is Teflon spray such as Remington Dry Lube. As mentioned, when my guns get put away for a long period of time, they get a good wiping with Rem Oil.

Wd 40 works great for making primers duds. I have used it this way while reloading corrosive primed cases. Making the primers inert before depriming is a safe way to avoid KABOOMS.

Also it works good for getting screws loose before breaking them on guns.

Rem-oil for me. Not to much either. Where does a person get Miltec?
