Well in #3 was a tad nervous
, not so much about passing the test, he just assumed he was going to fail…
I was actually more nervous about the shooting in general and time limits, being only the second time I shot my hand gun, 3 time ever shooting a hand gun, I’ve also never ventured to try and shoot one handed, not yet anyways, so teh one handed thing was really unnatural to me, I figured once I was proficient shooting two handed than I could work on all that hollywood stuff
I did really want to pass it the first time so I tried my best to shoot good, I ended up scoring a 237 out of 250 (needed 170 to pass), not like it was the hardest test in the world either, though I’m glad I passed and I’m done with the class!
The 10 shots at 50 foot was crazy, I don’t think I’ll attempt to shoot that far again short of maybe trying to plink some cans with some friends.
I did have a chance to really figure out my XD9 fits my hand very good, I was way, way more relaxed this time at the range than I was first time out with the gun(I went alone) I and feel were going to spend some long hours getting to know each other much, much better.
All in all it was a good class, and I have a lot of reading and lots and lots of practice before I’ll actually carry, so fear not.
It was good fun and a good time, I only wish we could’ve finished up a tad earlier so we could’ve had time to shoot afterwards.
We’ll have to try and get some IDA’ers together for some of thier training nights.
Big thanks to Brian K, Bills Gun Range (everyone that works there is great, really), and IDA.
