I’ve been shooting trap league for about 8 years and last night I finally got my 25. I just figured it would never happen. I’m not a serious shooter. Hunting buddies using pumps to stay in shooting shape is all we go for. Any trap shooters out there?

    Congrats Mike!

Took me a lot of lead to get my first 25…the next two came surprisingly quick.

    I smoke a few now and then….

Congrats. Now that you have one under your belt, they will come more frequently.

Not sure about Oakdale. I’m a member at North Hudson and that place is real easy going. That would be my choice. Maybe later in the summer. My one night a week is already cutting into fishing time.

    Congrats on the 25!!!

That would be a GREAT TIME!!!! The Brat and I would definitely be up for something like that. She is a good shooter for only having 1 year shotgunnin under her belt…..mid teens pretty regularly.

    Great job

I am in my first year of shooting league. I had a 24 last week, missed a straight away shot

As for the GTG, Try getting ahold of Metro in Blaine. Great people. After shooting we fire up the grill and crack open a few

That’s pretty good, I’m just surprised you were able to stay awake for a whole round.

I have been shooting trap for 6 years now. I shoot handicap, yardage, and some sporting clays. I got my first 25 5 years ago and I have had a handful since. I have switched guns many times over the years, so I have a hard time being consistent. I mess with myself in the head too much also. I have missed the last bird many times because I psyched myself out.

Ron, any room for me out at Metro? I have been asked to join a couple teams out there, since they just tore my gun club down. I used to manage and shoot three nights a week at St. Anthony Gun Club.

That first 25 is the tough one. There will be 50s and 100s coming your way now I shoot two leagues a week and love it! Care to share what load you like? Does your league shoot handicap yardage as well as singles?

I’m not a serious shooter so no reloading or special guns. Although I shoot weekly and have been doing it for years its just for fun and mostly to stay in shooting shape. I think it really pays for accuracy and safety when gun handling is familiar and instinctive. I usually use AAA in 8 or 9 but my 25 came on 7 1/2’s.
