    (A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.

    (B) Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000.

    (C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

    GUNS

    (A) The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000.

    (yes..that’s 80 million)

    (B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1500.

    (C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.

    (Courtesy of the FBI)

so, statistically, doctors are approroximately 9,000 times more

    dangerous than gun owners.

Remember “Guns don’t kill people, doctors do.”

FACT; NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE

    HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat.

We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand….

Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the statistics

on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic, and seek

    medical attention.

    A concerned citizen

In WI…you just can’t keep a Dr. in your shorts.

    Somehow…that didn’t come out right….

We better ban concealed doctors and make them all wear a red cross on their clothes.

looks like Dick Cheney (sp) almost made the gun number 1501 huh?
Sorry i couldn’t resist. I agree people are so afraid of guns and weapons, but if a guy wanted to kill a person, it wouldn’t be very hard to do even without a gun. its evil people that steal money and deal drugs to get their guns that kill. Not guns.

Here is a little tidbit from an email I got along time ago.

“Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.”

There’s an awful lot of truth to that one.
