Terrova problems

Sorry if this question has already been asked before but I couldn’t find much online anywhere. I have a 80 pound terrova on my crestliner Tournament Series. It’s a 2011 vintage and isn’t linked to the graph or anything. The other day the spot lock function just quit working. The little signal strength thing on the remote shows no bars of connection to the trolling motor and the motor just makes that sad peep noise when I hit the anchor button. Anyone have any ideas at all? I called a place that services Minnkota and they said try the foot pedal but that doesn’t seem to have an anchor button or am I missing something? All the other auto pilot stuff works if that makes a difference.any help is really appreciated, didn’t know how much I used that button until it’s gone!

If you have the same Terrova I have, the spot lock button is right below the speed dial.

Try unplugging it from the power source for 10 min.

Mind was doing strange think with the remote. I thought the remote was working and just lost memory. My last move after calling Minnkota was to just change the battery in the remote. It was just a weak battery in the remote. It works ok now. Just one of a simple things you can try. Good luck

You said it’s a 2011 vintage, so no, the foot pedal does not have a spot-lock button. That was added with the 2017 Bluetooth models, and those foot pedals are not interchangeable to non-bluetooth models.

I don’t have any suggestions to fix your issue.

Thanks for the help. Like said above I guess there isn’t an anchor button on the older foot pedals after doing a bunch of research. Called a place in town that services them and said possibly it’s the remote but doubtful. They said usually a new head is needed. Not sure how much those cost but it might just be time to upgrade if it gets to spendy. Did try changing batteries in the boat but that made no difference. Just baffled because the gps is still working when using the “N” button.
