Brand new…I can’t get the CON light to turn off meaning the ‘constant on’ is always on. Stupid question but am I doing something wrong? I am guessing I should be able to turn this feature on/off by taping the CON button on the foot peddle? When I do the light stays on. Thanks…RR

CONsTANT bUTTON To operate the motor in continuous mode: Pressing the Mom/Con button toggles the motor between momentary and constant. When the motor is in constant the propeller will run continuously at the foot pedal speed setting without keeping your foot on the pedal. Even while in constant mode, however, the toe button on the heel/toe pedal is momentary. Prop button will not work with the MODE button engaged. This is the only info from the instruction book. May not be the answer you are looking for. When you push the con button the green light on your foot pedal will light up. If working properly it will indeed go out when pressed again. do not confuse the power up light on the trolling motor with your con light on the foot pedal?

you shouldn’t need to try using tape to stop something from happening on an expensive BRAND NEW trolling motor. coffee

Thanks Lee. Something is certainly wrong with it. When I touch the CON button again (as you say…) the green light DOES NOT go out on the peddle. I will bring it in to a cert repair shop here in the Twin Cities. Thanks!

Does the light just stay on but the motor is put into momentary mode? Or does it stay in continuous mode? Either way there is a problem, I was just wondering how much of an inconvenience it was. If it doesn’t kick out of Continuous, that would be major irritating.

Light stays on and stays in continuous mode. Basically the way it is working now if I want the motor to stop working I have to dial the speed down to zero…RR

    Hi friends

I experiment the same issue with my Terrova. On the foot pedal, I should use the dial to 0 to get the prop stopping.
Also, It seems to affect the I Pilot, and the momentary buttons so I can’t use the GPS functions to set a spot, auto tracking etc…

I just buyed a use fishing baot and the former owner said that he had no trouble.

Thank’s and have a lot of FISH ON !

Maybe try unplugging the power plug for a couple of minutes to see if something resets?

I ended up bringing mine into a service center and they confirmed it was not working correctly and they promptly gave me a new peddle. The nice part is I asked what they would do with the old one and they said throw it. I asked if I could keep it for parts and they said yes. Nice! RR
