I’m sorry but I’m not OK with the vast majority of it. These people hate America and I don’t want anything to do with what they would replace it with.

I grew up in VA and went to a high school named after Robert E Lee for heaven’s sake. I get why it’s happening, but it still stings seeing all the historical things being destroyed. I really love history and its very ugly at times but I don’t think trying to erase it is productive at all. In 20 years kids might not even know any of this even happened.

But clearly there isn’t anything stopping this tidal wave good or bad.

Way I see it, there are those that really believe they are doing right thing, there are those if I don’t join in they will think I’m racist, those that tell others if you don’t join in your racist. and those who walk around butt hurt about everything and this is the latest bandwagon to jump on.
Somewhere there gotta be a line drawn where enough is enough.

It was Indians who tore down the statue of Columbus today at the state capital. Where are the cops when these people deface public property?

All you have to do is ask. Netflix is already removing movies that are not their political correct and replacing them with others. Cartoons are getting replaced. The folks protesting at the state capital today want history books rewritten. Personally I dont think any amount of change will be enough for them.

Most ridiculous of it all (which is really saying something). The police officer in paw patrol is getting ousted. So is Elmer Fudd. Oh, and those damned lego police officers!! What a joke. I’m embarrassed to be a part of this generation

Now that the monuments are gone the schools/institutions will have the go ahead to change their textbooks and teach our children their revised mindset of the new America and that everyone prior was bad and/or racists.
Makes me want to watch a few of my favorite Clint Eastwood movies again before they are deemed non-appropriate in these lunatics minds.

There is actually a legal process to getting a historical statue removed in most states, including Minnesota. When people don’t get their way or it takes too long, they simply tear it down or vandalize it themselves. Real classy and adult like. Reminds me of my 2 year old

I’m not saying that every historical statue should be removed. I am not offended by any of them. But obviously some groups of people are. If it is their wish to have it removed because Robert E Lee represents a general of the south during the Civil War or Christopher Columbus represents an explorer of the new world who eventually pushed out natives, so be it. I’m not going to try and change someone’s opinion or view points. But tying a rope to a statue and pulling it down or spray painting a monument because you don’t get your way is childish, impatient, and against the law. Anyone participating in this sort of activity should be punished accordingly.

Where the hell is the law enforcement during all this crap!? Why are they not there arresting these idiots? This is not “peaceful protesting” this is damaging public property and should be criminally charged To all involved.

Of course Nancy Panderolsi won’t let a opportunity pass. She now demands all confederate statues be removed from the Capitol grounds and statuary hall. But why stop there Nance? Arlington cemetery was Robert E Lee’s property during the war. Best exhume all those bodies and intern them to a more political correct location. Then we can just tear that ugly house down too.

Lincoln during the debates with Douglas said this.

I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races.”

Dang best dismantle that Lincoln Memorial now too. Heck it’s already been vandalized. Oh and your friend and esteemed democratic Senator from West Virginia Robert Byrd. He had a pretty sketch history with the black race as well. That whole KKK thing and all. Best erase him from the record as well. And there’s much more work to be done after that.

This virtue signaling stuff can sure keep a person busy.

This one just blows my mind! No way is Elmer Fudd ok running around with a shotgun chasing Bugs Bunny, but lets give him a scythe instead? Because that is so much better?

It is pretty clear that the liberal left is perfectly ok with portraying violence, but only if it fits their political agenda. This is quite the slippery slope that society is on right now.

If a statue effects you emotionally I have to wonder how you made it this far in life.

But on the other hand, once all the statues are gone, racism will be conquered and George Floyd resurrected.

    Exactly.

Articulate the problem and be the solution. The movement is loosing respect, and the narrative seems convoluted and suspicious at a minimum. The timing is hard to ignore, tied in with the hatred for the potus and a virus, that although a concern, the response seems highly overblown. It feels like we are being trained, and that’s disconcerting. We are being force feed a doctrine. I don’t like Trump, but don’t like this crap sandwich that’s being shoved down our throats daily more.

If your bull schnitzel meter isn’t at least flickering a little that something is off right now, that’s more concerning than anything to me personally.

Most media outlets are bought and paid for Joey B adds, it’s disappointingly disturbing how hard it is to tell the news from a democratic add right now. Where the heck is there any factual, bipartisan news right now?

Kind of funny that one group is getting so triggered by the removal of statues by an opposite group who is triggered by a statue.

No one likes monuments to losers (Confederates) and colonizers.

Kids will always be able to read about them in history books.

Flat out the hipsters/PC crowd/etc are destroying this country one day at a time. They will stop at nothing to change everything to benefit the lowlifes and non working people of this country.

At some point, this is going to have to boil to a head and those of us pulling weight are going to have to stand up to them. That or lose your country. Hell, what am I saying, MN is lost already…. SAD
