Sorry, I have no recommendation, but that thing is a tanker! Was that caught in the metro?

Yeah that was a metro crappie. We got a couple others that were 13-14″ all were released to make more crappies.

    That’s a great crappie. Congratulations!

I can’t say from personal experience having one made but these guys had some awesome looking replicas at the Lax boat show a few weeks ago. I have also seen other recommend them. They are in Duluth.

Have a couple fish done by Ron Shaleen, who I believe is out in Lakeland MN. Been very satisfied with everything

Thanks for all of the information. I will post pics once I get the replica back. Might take a bit since we close on our house in a week. I keep telling the wife we need some new art for the new house…

That is a nice fish and a nice mount. If you don’t mind me asking, what did it cost?

Lucky you! I’d be happy to catch anything worth searching for a taxidermist)

Thanks! I have caught many trophy sized bass but never one that I wanted to put on the wall. Something about a 16.75″ crappie that puts me over he edge.

Definitely Scott Miller in Prescott. He can carve a fish out of wood and make it look real. His prices are great as well. (715) 262-5315

I believe it was 14.00 per inch.. and 30 bucks for mounting. I brought him the piece of wood that I wanted to use and Scott did the rest. He is a very nice guy as well. I would call and check cost with a crappie. Might be a buck or two more

Give Abbie Fey a try. Ron Schara recently had a story on her on his TV show.
    She lives in western Minnesota
