    Hello,
I am headed up to Rainy lake next week. We always do well with Walleyes however, this year we are thinking about targeting Crappie.
Wondering if anyone has any tips. Presentation, locations, depth? We will be staying near lost bay.
    Thanks!

I’ve fished Rainy mid-June and mid-Sept. 8 times or so. When I inquired about crappie fishing after knowing there are some dandies there. I mostly got the fishing is good during spawn time in bays. But after the spawn, they disperse through the lake and are hard to locate on the US side.

I have been up to a coworkers grandparents island a number of times it is not far from camp narrows which isnt to far from where you are we have found them in northwest bay a couple times but that is usually later in the year the only place we find them consistant mid summer is in ash and paddy bays. I do not have live scope and can usually find them within half a day just driving around with traditional sonar. When you find them the schools are usually fairly large and dont move a ton from day to day
