I go fishing all lat week prefishing for a tournament. I get home last night and my wife starts poking fun at me. I think that crocks are great fishing shoes. It doesn’t matter if they get wet, they never smell, and they offer more protection from hooks etc then flip flops do. There is one they do also is give you a cheetah tan as I call it. I use a lot of sun block, because I hate getting sun burned.

I made the mistake of not putting lotion on my feet one trip, top of your foot seems to be one of the most painful places to burn it seems. I’ve got sandals I wear if I’m not barefoot and get the same leapord pattern.

Hahaha oops! Odd tan lines are pretty funny though and can make you think. Of course, I’m a pretty suave dresser and I usually just wear socks with my Crocs. Yes, I’m one of THOSE people.

I too have had funny tan lines on my feet due to various sandals etc.. Now that Ive bought a share at this “exclusive” lake I do not get tan lines any longer. Fishings not bad either. The scenery can vary………..????????

On a positive note I recommend Bullfrog brand aerosol sun blocks. Some even have bug repellent mixed in. Not greasy and waterproof. Lasts as long between reapplications as any other. Hasnt stained my “clothes” yet. Lol. I think Im funny. Ues drinking. Just got off 60 hr shift. Im fried.

    No tan lines!

I go barefoot on the weekends. Only put my shoes on to go into town or when heading home.

“You can always spot a beach bum by their tan feet.” – A friend of mine said when I was visiting him in San Diego in the early 90’s.

Same here. Barefoot as much as possible. After a week of vacation, putting on shoes for work is terrible. )

You may have a future as a foot model… mrgreen

I exclusively wear Crocs in the summer months. The FW made fun of me, now she has TWO pairs….

I tried the Wally world knockoffs for half the price, they lasted less than half as long. Yes, they are worth it. You can find em at their outlet for usually $20-25.

I think they’re quite comfortable, with our without socks. I chose to rock the Camo Crocs my MIL found for me a couple of Christmases ago. They were hard to find in a men’s 6 but totally worth it! mrgreen

I have crocs and a pair of keens. Once you wear keens you will never wear crocs again and you wont feel bad about the price tag.

Oh contraire. I have crocs and keens. If I was going hiking I would wear the keens. If I’m fishing and in/out of the water its the crocs. Even though crocs cause some to question your manhood. -) Just be careful when you wear out the tread. They get very slippery on wet surfaces.

If im not at work and a task doesn’t require boots I’m wearing crocs. Have a pair of keens never wear them. Wore them for half day with a lot of walking feet were sore and chafed. If you have the crocs on there’s no stress

I’m sure most of you are smarter than me. Never weld in your Crocs.

Or use an angle grinder when working with steel…That’s gotten me more than once. “I only need to take a bit off, it’ll be fine. OUCH OUCH OUCH!”
