    Hello all,
I’m planning on doing some nov. Walleye hunting in the talmoon minnesota area. I am doubling it as a deer hunting trip. I do not know the lakes in the area at all and am trying to make a decision on where to track down some walleye. I have read dnr survey reports for both lake bowstring and lake Jessie, the look very promising, I’m wondering if anyone would to confirm or deny these thouhht. Both seem to offer great numbers of fish and fairly adequate size class. Thoughts?

Both are good options. I fish bowstring about 10 times a year. Nice Walleye and can be in good numbers. It’s a stained water lake. Never fished it this late in the year. Good luck

Thank you Darrin for the input, I will be sure to keep you updated. As I look at the topos it seems that Jessie has a little more structure that may hold fish as well. Do you find this to be true?

Typically yes. But I haven’t fished Jessie lake at all. This fall on Bowstring, Big Winnie and Cutfoot Sioux I did better on shallow “flats” than I did on any typical structure. I think that deeper structure might be my first places to look now with colder water.
