Not much of a TV series or movie big screen guy, but….
When I heard they made a top gun 2, and have a trailer for it, my shorts pitched a tent. C’mon, being a child of the 90s that was the epitome of awesomeness. When I have the boat throttled down or a 4wheeler pinned I imagine I’m flying an f14 tomcat.
Does it look corny, complete ripoff of the first, same scenes but older Maverick, yup, do I care, nope.

Heck yeah kind of excited but also little apprehensive, I hope they don’t screw it up. I wore out 3 Top Gun VHF tapes and irritated my sisters to no end LOL. When I feel the need, the need for speed I have ” Revvin up your engine listen to her howl and roar” playing in my head!

Best part of Top Gun was the Coke commercial. 
I’m real tempted to buy my old toy. Whole fam saved up one year for me. Destroyed the neighborhood with that. Cats, dogs, squirrels, flowers, nothing was safe from my missiles.

Hell yeah I’m excited, major top gun fan!! I also wore out a couple vhs tapes of the movie… My wife and I named our son Maverick, she really didn’t have a say in the matter once we found out we were having a boy, he’s 7 now and the name fits him well. Wife and I dressed up in top gun gear for holloween party one year, then the other year we had our annual poker tournament and it was 80’s theme, so of course we broke the gear back out for that one, little hard for the wife to pull off an Asian Charlie though..
Got a feeling the movie will be released on May 13th (Top Gun Day)

I love me some Lou Gosset Jr but Top Gun still beats it. Of course, the scene where the kid launches the missile while still on the ground is pretty awesome.
