I took the trash container to the curb a few minutes ago and had sleet and an occasional snow flake bounce off the jacket. Wayyyyy too early for this crap.

It’s legit snowing in St. Louis Park right now santa

Better than being our friends to the west though…..

1-3 FEET possible in the Dakota’s. The entire state of Montana and ND are already covered, most of SD too.

    We’re getting out easy here.

Love it, ponds will be frozen soon. Booked our LOW trip for start of Dec same as last year.

First frost will be welcome here! Tired of mowing every 3-4 days!

I’m good with the frost and temps between 30-50 for awhile. I don’t need any snow or ice for a solid month (preferably 2 months).

Yeah not a pleasant sign to wake up to snow falling on October 11th, could be a loooong winter. Really need a month of dry 50-70 degree weather to dry things out, this is ridiculous.

I’m hoping a lot of people do the same because I only have 2 hours free on Saturday morning, and I’m banking on a WMA near my M-I-L’s house.

I could do without this for another month. Pheasant hunting can wait until the conditions improve and some of the crops get harvested. Can you say “suicide mission?”

I know its not as bad over here in southern WI, but I like having the lakes cool down, really gets the walleyes/saugers going. The colder the water the better, then it freezes over and its ice season

At 5 this morning the starts were shining on a crystal clear sky with 30 degrees, but that wind was still sucking heat out of the world. At 7 the boughs of the pine in the yard are still dancing in the wind.

I see a little header on the weather site I use that says “snow possible at 11:15 AM”. That’s getting pretty exact. Then looking at an expanded view of the weather map and I see a huge area of wrap around crap that could get here by then but we sure can get by nicely without it. Maybe Iowa will blow and Canada suck and this just goes north. I’d be good with that…..and next weeks mid-40’s and 50’s. Maybe they stick around until about Feb. 1st then for a week see some 30’s again, then right back to nice.

We had 4 inches of snow in Itasca county Friday night/ sat morning. I haven’t seen the lakes that high in 30 years.
