I see that tucr has a new rod. From the description it sounds alot like the precision. Has anyone had a chance to use one or know someone who has?

I have not used one, nor have I seen one. But after reading the description of a slower action, I will pass. I would also not say that the precision is not anywhere near a slow action rod. The reason I buy certain high end rods, is because I enjoy an extra fast action ice rod, which is very tough to find in a budget rod. The description almost sounds like they are trying to copy the JT snare line of rods…which is a great option for certain peoples preferences, just not mine.

I have a short precision and that is almost as slow of an action as I would like to use on anything heavier than a glass panfish rod. It could make a pretty good dead stick type rod but I’m not sure I would want to jig with it.

The Fusion sounds like it’s the panfish version of the Precision – made for spoons, jigs, and small jigging raps where you want more power in the tip than a noodly ultra light or extra fast tip rod would have.

I have a Fusion and used it last winter for the last half of the season. I caught walleye up to 18″on it and bluegill down to about 6″. When comparing the Fusion to other TUCR rods it is a similar backbone to the Bullwhip aside from the noodle tip of the Bullwhip(if you have ever used a bullwhip, you know it has a surprising amount of backbone before the tip). And it has a similar tip to the precision. It is not lightning fast like the Quick tip, but it is also not slow by any means. It has amazing sensitivity and feel. I primarily use it as a light walleye, perch, heavy panfish rod.

Nail on the head right here.

Very similar action to the Precision. Which is a slower action rod for our standards.

The Fusion sounds like it’s the <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>panfish version of the Precision – made for spoons, jigs, and small jigging raps where you want more power in the tip than a noodly ultra light or extra fast tip rod would have.

i ordered mine for the purpose of having a nice perch rod and for that late season trout bite where they get really really picky and want teeny tiny bates. it kinda hits that spot in between my precision and bullwhip. i love my bullwhip but it just doesnt have the feel that this rod has i hope!! this friday marks week 4 since ordering my FUSION so i hope that means i see it in person next week sometime )

Thanks for the imput everyone. I might have misunderstood to description a little. I might have to get one when I get the other 2 rods I have been wanting. I have a bullwhip and love it for everything from bigger panfish baits to really light walleye baits. I love all 5 tucr I have so it probably won’t disappoint.
