Metallica is $200+ for anything on the lower level, $1300+ for the mosh pit/floor. And still well over $100 for nosebleeds. No thanks.

Metallica hasn’t been metal since the 80s. More pop rock now days. The kid was dying to see Pantera tho so we will see them in WI with lamb of god. Metal shows don’t sell out the bank stadium, they are in small dives and we get in for 15 to 25 bucks

I’ve got a wedding on Saturday a few blocks from the stadium.. Not looking forward to that.

Just walked by the merchandise “tent”. Line looks to be an hour+ just for some merch, a day before the concert… Going to be a busy weekend in Mpls.

Saw them back in the day when they did Apple River outdoor. It was one of the best live shows I have been to. I saw Pantera once to, remember it being good, but for some reason my memory is a bit foggy.

I haven’t been to a concert in a couple decades. Would consider doing it for someone like Church or Stapleton, but at these prices it would be tough. Never understood the draw to T swift. She can write songs, finding out there are a few she wrote others are performing and are good songs.

Nice, he is one of my favorites but haven’t been able to see him yet.

It’s not pantera without the Abbott brothers, imo. I’m torn about whether Phil and Rex are capitalizing on something that is incomplete and should be left alone or not. I respect them both and the guys filling in on drums and guitar are great, don’t get me wrong… but still.

And after all, it’s just music.

The prices boggle my mind, to pay that much for 2-3 hrs of music. I get inflation, Ticketmaster monopoly etc but…..come on! I took my GF, now wife to the Eagles and Marshall Tucker in 75 for five bucks.then we saw them in the early mid 2000’s. $200 bucks a ticket. Nothing gets less expensive that’s for sure

I feel you on that, but Zak wylde was dime bags best buddy and is doing it in full honor of Darrell which I can get behind. Same with edsel dope filling in and singing for Wayne static of static x. Another 2 best buddies just living in honor of his dead friend. At least that’s how I look at it.

It’s the ticket master monopoly that kills people. They monopolized the ticketing market and did 100 percent exactly what they said they wouldn’t.
Yes you have to pay to play, that’s a given. You have to purchase the things you want. It’s the 55 to 60 percent in fees that they are killing people with. Zach Bryan just pulled back and canceled a show because he found out tickmaster was charging 500 plus for the show. He then booked a different gig and cut them out and charged 50 bucks a ticket because he didn’t think it was right.

Going to Pink in August. Can’t remember the price..probably $100-$150

Clapton in September – $300 for 7th row first level, close to the stage. Seen him 6-7 times..guessing this will be his last time here.

Metallica August 2024 – I think it was $300 for both nights.

Going to see him in NC with the Belle in September. It will be special because he’s from there.

Going to a Church concert in NC or at Red Rocks would be a bucket list trip for me. I’ve seen him at least a dozen times, and he always delivers a great show! Including the first time I saw him at like 3 in the afternoon at We Fest with about 250 people watching he ripped it up like he was a headliner…and the next year after Smoke a Little Smoke blew up, he was!

And on the OP his first major tour with Rascal Flatts he got kicked off the tour for playing too long and too loud, and was replaced by a young Taylor Swift. Church then followed the tour playing smaller clubs and honoring any of his fans that had the Rascal Flatts tickets to get into the smaller club show the same night as Flatts.

Stapleton in concert was legitimately better than his voice on the radio. He’s in a league of his own. I’ve probably been to ~40 concerts (not counting any music festivals in there) and he set a standard I doubt will ever be matched.

After a big step, then it’s Church. Garth Brooks’ show was pretty solid as well. I’ve seen both Garth and Church a handful of times. Morgan Wallen was decent but I’m not a huge fan of his songs. The eye candy in their 20s at his concert was worth the price of admission.

    Team Crush!

I can one up you there. First time on a random Wednesday night at the Cabooze maybe 25 people there. Elbows on the corner bar.
Second time Cabooze maybe 100 people.
Third Cabooze outside stage with nobody paying attention. It was like watching a local a high school band playing at the bowling alley. 4th minneapolis amphitheater got some drum sticks at that show. I have seen him on big stage now several times and he still plays like the first time at the Cabooze.
Not sure if he still plays with them but his original bass guitarist was from Minneapolis.
He was like a metal head type of musician back then. Head banging the whole show with a sweet mohawk.
