Swapping out a Chipper for a Lazer

I have a 2007 SM Mag 2000. The powerhead runs great, but the chipper flight I have has seen better days. Instead of getting the blades sharpened/replaced, I was really hoping to make the switch to a lazer flighting. Can this powerhead turn a lazer bit without damaging the gearbox or any other components, or is it meant for a chipper? Thanks for the advice!

No problems as far as I know. I’m able to put my 20 year old chipper on my new powerhead…and my 10″lazer on my old powerhead

Same power head and gearbox for both machines. I just thought that they were different bits for mounting purposes

I had a mag 2000 with 8.25″ chipper and put lazer on it was great. Everything is the same between the powerheads.
