Wasted trip…there are no bass on P2…especially in Spring Lake or Watergate Marina.

Not too bad of a day for my first day out and my first trip ever on Pool 2. I was able to hook up with Glenn and we boated a few. We fished Grey Cloud, man that was a drive…

One of the most interesting things about the trip was Glenn boated two nice crappies, a 1 lb 12 oz hog black crappie on a 3 or 4″ tube and another around 1 lb white crappie on his new spinnerbait. Hopefully glenn will post some picks.

Another neat thing was the Limestone mini bluffs, very pretty. I think I caught one on a bass pic…

Thanks again Otto for having me!! It was my first day fishing of the year and first time on pool 2. Very unique pool and it was a great day to be on the water.

2 keeper bass came on a RC Tackle Finesse Spinnerbait and a tube.
2 crappies came on each of the same lures.

Those are nice crappies and they are getting fewer and fewer of them back there. I’ve always released mine. Fun to catch again and again. If they are kept pretty soon they too will be depleted.

    We did!!!

I kept telling Glen that I thought they were cats in heat…

    Thanks for clearing that up!

On a different subject, saw a Red and Silver Ranger with an Evinrude in there too, was that an IDOer???
