I have got the green light from the “warden” to head up to the Minocqua WI area next week, (Wednesday June 11- Friday June 13).
I have a friend in Dodgeboy who lives up there but may not get all days off. I enjoy fishing with someone for the conversation.
He tells me the bite should be BIG. 
I also have some friends in Ashland who live right on Chequamegon bay and about 1 mile from the boat launch. BIG smallies have also been sighted in this area.
This is what I am thinking:
I/we will leave Tuesday late afternoon or if need be early Wednesday AM.
I live in Winona but we could find a place to meet up.
I have a 17’ tracker with only a 40hp on it. Not real fast but has gotten the job done. If you would want to bring your boat thats fine to.
Cost would be mostly gas and food.
Lastly, My fishing ability is just above or just below average depending on who you ask! 
I like to fish dawn to dusk or later!
