Thinking either Pool 2 or Rum River… Haven’t quite made up my mind. If pool 2, launch out of hidden falls park… if Rum River, launch near Cambridge. Would like to be in the water by 9am or so… pitching jigs for walleyes mainly. PM me here for the next couple hours…

Good choice to stay off 2 today. It was a zoo.

Looks like it was a zoo everywhere. I hit 2 launches on the Rum.. one was a decent launch… just not quite deep enough to get he boat floating off the trailer. Another that a book said was a boat launch was just a canoe access. Uhg! Finally just hit a lake for a couple hours… that lake was BUSY! oh well. What do you do.

    Hey Dave!
I can’t imagine that the Rum has a whole lot of flow going with the lack of moisture over the last year. I grew up in
Cambridge amd we pretty much used canoes and small boats. And you would still end up getting out and walking some.

I’m not as familiar with the river south of Isanti; but I know the stretch between Princeton and Cambridge very well.
The Rum is a great little river! I need to get back up there and fish it again one of these days. And soon! Those horseflies and deerflies and mosquitos of midsummer will drive a guy insane on the Rum.
