Hire a a guide for ONE day you will get 2 years of river knowledge in one day!! James or Dustin guide out of Everts with great success they know the river and water flow like no one else. Money well spent good luck 
I agree…there a many people on this site that can help you…although spending the money on a guide trip is invaluable. These guys are on the water more than not..and can teach you the info you are looking for.

I thought I new how to read a river pretty well. I spent a day with Dustin Stewart and found out I didn’t know everything!
