If anyone knows Lake Koronis and would like to discuss a trip-swap, send me a PM and let’s talk.

When I fish it in the spring, I usually fish the south side of island 2 or right along hwy 55 for walleyes. I haven’t had the best success fishing the lake and won’t give up trying. I have seen some nice eyes and smallies caught on Koronis. I will post my findings again this spring when I get out there.

    Hey Dman,

Thanks for the reply. I’ve had mild success by island 2 myself, mostly on smallies though. When you say walleyes right along Hwy. 55, are you talking the small bay by the boat landing? Is there any amount of current under that bridge in the spring…looks like it would be good?!?!? I love the clarity in that bay, reminds me of a big fish tank.
I’ll give it a try, Thanks again!

55 I refer to is when you come out of the bay follow the shoreline on the right and about a 1/4 mile up the road butts up close to the lake. It usually is holding some fish in some pretty shallow water. The bite at the bridge is a hit and miss. they do gather in there at times. Usually when that happens the fishing poles are in there pretty thick under there. The sand bar out of the bay holds the eyes as well. That lake seems to me to depend more on wind direction as to where the fish end up more than any other lake. That’s why I end up scratching my head when I am out there. That theory hit me last year and so this year my research will be on the continue mode. This comes from talking to others that fish it more than I do.
