Gonna see if Grey cloud is open, probably won’t get to the launch (Lion’s Levee is what Google calls it) until 10:30-11, 10 at the earliest. Leaving now, call me 612 803 9338. Probably won’t be monitoring the site.

Nice talking with you on the phone. I hope you found some good water to fish after we talked. I think I’ll hold off a week or so to get down there. Let the ice clear and the water warm up a little more. Glad you were able to get out. After the winter we had I’m sure getting on open water felt great. Take it easy !!!!

Hi, good talking to you too…

Was only able to get about a third of the way in Grey Cloud, the rest was still iced up. Doesn’t look like it will be long though, maybe a few days, I’m no expert…

The rest of the day went like a typical first time out, busted the handle on my trolling motor which rendered it about useless since it is very hard to unlatch and then boat was running goofy which made me real nervous when I’m downstream of the landing so I never even got a cast off. Oh well, at least I got the boat out for the first time, turns out my gas hose was not fully sealed so I’m 99% sure I don’t have engine issues.

I hear you on the nervous part. My boat broke down the 1st time i had it on the River. Right at the enterence of Grey Cloud – Not good. River is not the place to have boat issue – For sure not this time of the year. not much boat traffic this time of the year
