I have an angler (boater) looking for a couple guys (non-boaters) to fish with on this year’s Rainy Houseboat trip.

Here’s some background info on Bob:

I’m a 62 year old IT Professional, from Plymouth, MN. I’m friendly, easy to get along with, and have a good sense of humor. I’m an avid walleye fisherman, but I have lots to learn about shallow water patterns, especially casting plastics. I have quite a bit of houseboat experience over the last 15 years, including Lake of the Woods, Kabetogama, Namakan, and Rainy. I know how to find my way around on Rainy, and I have both the Navionics and Lake Master contour maps for Rainy on a handheld GPS.

My boat is a Lund Pro Sport 1700 (with a windshield), year 2000. It has a 115 HP 2 stroke Johnson, 4 stroke Yamaha T-8 kicker, 55 lb bow mount, and a marine radio. All systems are in good shape. I will actually be at Rainy over the Memorial Day weekend, so I’ll just stay there an extra night before the IDO trip. That means I won’t be able to travel back and forth with my partners. However, it also means they don’t have to tow and launch a boat, so they can come up in a small car if they want.

If anyone would like to be put in touch with Bob to talk about attending the 2012 Rainy Lake Houseboat trip, send me an email or a Private Message and I’ll share contact info.

With Bob already having his boat on Rainy prior to the trip and no need to make the long tow as a group this is a great opportunity to minimize fuel costs for someone looking to attend.

James…I might be able to swing this and tag along with Bob in his boat. Did he already find a partner?

    Yes he did.

I’m almost assured of finding more interested boaters. Hang tight. I’ll keep you posted.
