Surround on stove in fish house

We have a small wheel house with a 2 burner stove. The cupboard is above it and the wall behind it is regular paneling. Any simple ideas on something that would be easy to clean but prevent a fire? Thought about corrugated metal from on a shed or something similar? We don’t use it much but in the winter we use it more.

Could check out the metal back splash options at Menards or Home Depot.

I thought the same thing. Diamond plate is thick and heavy but would look cool. One can buy a 4’x4’ or 4’x8’ sheet of similar material as the metal backsplash. That would help keep the weight down.

    One more step –

Cut cardboard to form, wrap in foil.

    mrpike:

When mounting try to leave some air space in between the barrier and the paneling. If that doesn’t happen, the paneling will lose or drop its flash point and may start a fire any way…

I have diamond plate aluminum in my shack, ok at best. Looks great when new but does corrode n discolor after couple years. Personally, I would get stainless steel.
