    From Ryan King’s page.

“So today is a personal milestone for me as a sportsman. Today i landed a true giant. This walleye measured 32″ in length weighed 15.2lbs and had an unreal girth of just over 24 1/2″ this photo was taken by my father in law Edward Rossi he also helped measure and weigh this monster. This fish was full of eggs so she was given a big wet kiss and released….thank you lord and thank you fish gods. Also i would like to thank Jeff Trumar the sub 30 rod you built for me handled everything this River monster had”

There are thousands of people that have not caught a fish this long, much less it’s girth!

unreal girth of just over 24 1/2″

Even a cat guy has to bow

Honestly at that size/age her eggs probably are not really viable anymore but she is out there waiting to be caught again so that is cool.

My goodness! When you look at how the guy is holding it, his elbows are bent and it’s close to his body. No goofy straight arming it towards the camera to exaggerate the size at all, AND IT’S STILL LOOKS GIGANTIC! What an awesome fish!

I’m no river expert, but wouldn’t that be an old fish for the river? What’s the biggest walleye ever surveyed in the river?

I don’t know the guy from adam, but am happy for him. Seems like he knows what he’s holding onto there. Just flipping cool to know there’s BEAST’S like that in the river.

I hope it’s real I really do but a 15 lber with no pics on a ruler or scale? Anyone I know caught a 15 would have done that for clarification. 32″ and 15 lbs sorry very very unlikely any reputable taxidermist will tell u that fish has to break records in girth and mass to come close to 15. I say 13 and you all can hassle me idc but when u put up a 15 it better be legit!!

We had one at 29″ go 12.2lb, 2 weeks ago. I’ve also caught a 31.75″ post spawn late June fish several years ago that went 10.7lbs. I wouldn’t doubt this fish as 15lbs.

Congrats to the angler! That’s a fantastic fish.

You clearly haven’t caught many prespawn walleye. I caught a 13.1 that was 31″ and no where near the girth of this one. I didn’t take pics on a tape or scale… guess it didn’t happen.

Congratulations on the catch of a lifetime! Thank you for releasing that fish full of eggs and letting the rest of us have a crack at her sometime, or at least teasing us knowing that that girl is out there! (there might even be bigger ones)

No one would blame you for mounting such a fish, but a composite mount is a great trophy, and you have been a role model for all with the catch and release. Congratulations on your conservation practices.

Pretty cool your father-in-law was with you too!

    Way to go!

Bah, give the guy a break. He probably has been telling his gal that 3″ is 6″ for years.

According to generally accepted walleye weight formulas this fish could easily be 15# with that girth. Fish is awesome! Congratulations!

The first thing I said ” I hope it’s real I really do” didn’t mean to take anything away from him yeah it’s a super tanker. I’ve met Ryan he’s a super dude! What i was trying to say is a fish like that should have a pic on a scale that’s all.
