What food are you making for the super bowl this weekend? What’s your go to crock pot recipe? Are you breaking out the smoker?

My favorite is buffalo chicken dip (recipe below). Also a big fan of anything wrapped in bacon.
    -1.5 lbs of shredded chicken
-3/4 cup HOT BUFFALO Franks Red hot (hot buffalo is key, not the regular)
-16 oz cream cheese (works best when softened before adding to crockpot)
    -1 cup ranch dressing
    -1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Throw everything in a crockpot to melt/heat up. Serve with your favorite dipping chips (my fav is sour cream and cheddar for this dip)

Something very bland so its not so gross when it comes back up after the Chiefs win again.

Thinking about going fishing instead lol

Otherwise find some meat and smoke it, maybe burnt ends? yum.

Typically go with some smoked chicken wings. Thinking we’ll do that again!

Plan to try a recipe someone posted here back in 2009. Bacon wrapped walleye bites. Everyone likes the bacon wrapped wieners. Hoping the walleye bites will be equally as good.

Some good ideas here! I love the buffalo chicken dip gitchi posted but I just made that. Probably do wings and steak sliders.

Try this again. How do you get the smoked wings crispy? I usually give them a 2 minute oil bath. Is there a better way?

Air fryer works great with little mess!

Yep, what Greg said, I will throw them in the air fryer to crisp them up! I also throw some flour on them which hardens to the wing and also crisps them a little bit.

What type of smoker are you using? I have a pellet smoker and here is what I do that will both get the wings a smokey flavor and crispy skin. Cold smoker, set it to 400 degrees and put wings on immediately. Walk away. At about 30 minutes flip them and then an additional 15 minutes or so and they should be golden. Start with thawed wings. Your smoker might not heat as fast as mine so that would cause times to vary, but its been flawless for me. I have a recteq bullseye.

Toss them in some cornstarch before putting them on the smoke

as a couple others mentioned, if you want crispy wings, cook them in the air fryer.

Salmon dip, smoked ribs, maybe some brisket sliders, and whatever others decide to bring. Usually way to much food but it doesn’t go to waste.

For food and beverage choices, I’m going with a 3# sirloin moose roast with carrots, taters and onions in the crock pot. FIL got it in NewFoundland this fall and its been tasty.
My second choice was gonna be shrimp po’ boys with homemade remoulade sauce, I do love me some fried shrimp sammies!!

Some Usingers salami and sausage with cheese and crackers for app’s, along with some maple syrup glazed smoked salmon and pickled herring.

For beverages gonna start with Bloody’s with Castle Cream ale chasers, and then make up a batch or 2 of Hurricanes for that New Orleans vibe.

Not your style I know but days like that are sometimes needed. Went full brisket with burnt ends some wings and a bunch of apps. Oh some really solid jalapeño poppers from a guest. Kids spent most of the time skating on the rink vs watching game. Smarter than the dads i guess.
    No pics but I’m full.

That all sounds great. And the at home lazy pajama day was pretty awesome. Definitely needed.

I made smoked wings, dry rub and parmesan garlic, and then some fried Thielen’s ring bologna. Neighbors hosted so it was a feast, buffalo chicken dip, chorizo queso, pizza dip, veggie tray, charcuterie board, mac and cheese, fettucine alfredo, and about 4 desserts. I ate way too much and was napping in the second quarter. #noregerts
