The hump on sliver was hot early in the morning boated several fish within the first hour biggest however was 22. Left to find bigger fish but my soon to be 12 years old son wasn’t impressed with the boot we gave it one drift and went back to sliver where we boated several cookie cutter 18’s. He out fished me using green hook glow bead and a leech. I was using a slow death with crawler. These setups were 1 oz bottom bouncer with a 6 foot snell. The wind laid down around 12:30 and the bite shutdown too. We went and checked into Mcquoids Inn and then headed to Hunters Point for an early dinner. The wind picked up again around 7 and we headed to the NW side of 2 mile in 29 feet of water and put out slip bobbers with glow jigs and leeches. We ended up with 17 fish on the clicker at 830 when we headed in. The biggest in the evening was 24 most of them were 15 to 17 inches. We had a blast and all fish carefully released meaning we needed to retire a couple of times to ensure the fish was not harmed removing a deep hooked jig.

That’s unusual, the sliver almost always holds big fish. The Boot has been slow for me this year. Sounds like you and the boy had some fun though. Nice work!!
