Does any one have WiFi water detection set up in their house? There are a lot of options out there, so it’s hard to chose. I was looking at this one or something like it. I have a lift pump and sump I’d like to have sensors on. Any advice?

if your power goes out, does your house still have WiFi?

No the WiFi would be out. I’m more concerned about pump failure and we continue to use water that goes into the sump and possibly overflowing it.

What about a float switch in the sump that shuts off the other pump?

I have a water sensor for our Ring system placed about halfway down in the sump. The water never gets this high before the pump goes off so it would tip me off the pump isn’t working by text and phone.

It’s not an expensive sensor so it seemed like a good add on.

Our neighbor has one–not sure which, but he likes it.

Mine is low tech. If it gets high enough to trip the battery backup pump, it screeches from the basement. rotflol
