Haven’t had a strippy since college, but those were great! And the name fit…

I like all beer, but ice cold Busch Latte’s or Keith Stone’s get the job done all year! If I’m classing it up, it’s tough to beat an ice cold Grain Belt Premo in a bottle too.

I hadn’t had Busch Light for years but we brought a bunch to Canada a few weeks ago…..my new favorite light beer.

Busch light, blue yummies, diet pepsi, blue smoothie, busch latte…I must be doing it all wrong…I left college and could finally afford something as good as Busch Light…It’s still the only light beer I keep in my beer fridge…

Prior it was Beer 30, Northern Light and Boxer light…Wanna talk about bad decisions?…You aren’t a man unless you’ve drank en entire case of Beer 30 ICE…I mean, the light version has a purple can, the Ice HAS to be better if it’s black, right?…wrong

I didn’t realize there was a difference between those beers.

Mostly the color and shape of said can. That being said, my can says Busch Light.

regardless of brand,in these parts a can, draw, or bottle of beer is called a hydraulic sandwich.

amazing what we pay for a little bit of alcohol and water, but it sure can quench a thirst on a day like today ! 97 degrees and high humidity.
think I will go mix me up a jack and pepsi or some grey goose and lemonade.

Yep, tastes just how you think it would on a steam Florida day.

Just kidding, I cooled with the rain, so I went for it. It does taste like french toast. Funky Buddha is my favorite brewer Down here.

Ma and I were in New Ulm Weds and yesterday. We got a gift package for a bed/breakfast, brewery tour at Schells and a dinner paid for at George’s, a nice restaurant at the opposite end of the block that the Glochenspiel Park is on.

The B&B was outstanding and we still have a 50% credit for another stay, maybe this winter. The meal was outstanding….steak, shrimp and ribs. The restaurant is smallish and when we walked in there was a table for two sitting there….the only table left. We never saw an empty table there and we didn’t leave until about 7:30. Crazy busy place.

Of course we had to do the brewery again. Every time we are in that town we hit that up and again we were not let down. Ma got her dose of Schell’s Shocked, the grapefruit infused beer. A couple of the others in the tasting weren’t too bad but a couple were pretty “hoppy”, drinkable but right on that line towards maybe not. I was a little let down that they didn’t have the Hauenstein the bottle now, but I guess its all contract brewing and not under the umbrella of their own label. All in all, its a super fun visit for a couple hours. The other small brewery and winery on the north side of town are not open until weekends so we missed them.

That ugly weather that hit this area Weds afternoon also went thru New Ulm at about 3:30. Ma went into a thrift store to see what she could find and I sat in the van and read. I just became aware that things had gone black [darned close to literally] when the wind hit, then the rain. The door to the store was twenty feet away an I could not see inside the store and at one point one of those huge American flag across the road came close to bending the pole it was on enough to come within a couple feet of touching the ground. Ma’s 10 minute stop turned into a 45 minute venture.

Lotta fun, lotta tense and home safe to find 2 1/2″ in my gauge.

    Cucumber Mojito.

Pretty simple. Just add cucumber to the muddle of your favorite mojito recipe.

Adds a whole new level of refreshing.

    Gil,
How do you get the booze to stay in the glass when it’s sideways like that?
