Who all have a Tervis? You cannot mention summer cocktails without mentioning Tervis. Yeti has nothing on Tervis.

What’s probably just as important as what goes into those drinks is what gets served with them for munchies. Without some salt or sugar of some sort many drinks taste like drano or swamp water.

I made some rosé sangria this weekend. Man, that really hit the spot. I divided it amongst some pint jars to make it easy to stow in a cooler. Yum.

Not necessarily. I actually just got done brewing a batch of Scotch Ale. It’s aging as we speak. I just drink cold Busch Lights in the summer, because after a hard day of hanging treestands in 100 degree heat, IPAs or Scotch Ales just seem to be a little heavy. I find that in the summer, I like as close to Gatorade as I can get and Busch Light fits the bill nicely. I drink real beer from about September-May or June. I do like an Esser’s Best on a hot summer day, if I’m not out working, but like I said, I usually do the one pound Busch Lights.

Light beers (aka Busch Light) and fruity cocktails are made for drinking in the summer….transition to the good stuff when the weather turns cold.

Thank you, I feel better now.

I drink some lighter beers when doing yard work. Key Lime/Mango beers with a 4.5% ABV. I am starting to avoid IPAs altogether, for the most part.

I bought a bottle of a double brown ale called French Toast. I have no idea when I am going to drink that, certainly not for a few months.

I made some rosé sangria this weekend.

    That looks amazing!

    1 bottle rosé wine
    1/4 cup tequila
    1/4 cup sugar
    juice of 2 grapefruits
    juice of 4 oranges
    1 cup of grapes, halved
    1 peach
    1 cup raspberries

In a large pitcher, combine the Rose, tequila, sugar, grapefruit and orange juice. Stir to combine.
Divide the fruit between the jars and then add the Rose mixture. You can fill the jars 1/2 -3/4 full, depending on how much ice you’d like to add. Cover the jars with the lids and screw on the rings to close. Keep the sangria cold in your cooler and make sure to bring extra ice.

(I found this recipe on http://www.dirtygourmet.com)

Next time, I probably won’t squeeze my own juice. That was messy.

That’s one of the reasons I stopped doing mojitos. You have 4 people requesting a mojito, that’s a lot of limes.

Big frosty mug.green olivejuice. A good amount of V8 spicy hot. And one cold bottle of grain belt premium. Oh and ice in the mug.

Don’t know I’ve ever had Busch Lite. I do recall a college room mate making the claim “cheaper than soda”.

Usually a beer and wine drinker. Dos Equis with a lime is great in the summer. Wife only likes red wine I like any wine so we have red wine. Honey badger great red wine and affordable liquor store next to target in otsego carries it. Napa valley liquors.

You went to college and NEVER had a Busch Light!?!? I’m pretty sure you did college wrong. Was that in America? Then I guess that’s why I’m just a ditch digger. doah

Don’t let the WI address fool you. I’m a product of MN. Wasn’t a huge drinker in the day but something like a Leinenkugel Bock or Labatt’s 50 Ale comes to mind. I remember going in on a case of beer with a room mate and I think I drank 3-4 before the case was gone. That was the first and only case I’ve put money towards. Whatever happened to Leinenkugel Bock? Use to be able to buy by the case. Doesn’t exist anymore.

Anyone have a good cucumber vodka cocktail recipe? Something for summer.

Ok, guilty. Busch was my beer in college.

Hullihans had a drink with vodka and basil in it. It was absolutely delicious. I wish I had the recipe.

I skipped over a couple pages in this post.

Anyone try the new (to me) Crown Royal Apple and Mountain Dew (or Sprite)?

I had the Dew the other hot day and 3 glasses went down faster the Pug can take a photo of a sleeping co worker!

Ultra smooth, but also very sweet.

    Old Fashion:

    Shot of Brandy over ice
    Sprite (no diet stuff)
Healthy slice of orange squeezed and put in glass
    Couple splashes of Bitters
Cherry with a splash of juice if you like it sweeter

People are kind of “ya, whatever” until they taste it. Yum!

    1) Strip and go naked: vodka, lemonade, and a splash of light beer. Mix it by the pitcher and use the beer to cut the sweetness.

    4) Busch Light

Haven’t had a strippy since college, but those were great! And the name fit…

I like all beer, but ice cold Busch Latte’s or Keith Stone’s get the job done all year! If I’m classing it up, it’s tough to beat an ice cold Grain Belt Premo in a bottle too.
