I recall a similar topic in the last year or two, but for the life of me, can’t find it. Anyone have any suggestions on fish camps or resorts they went to? Would drag my own boat, so rental not a necessity.

In the 80’s during my bass tmt years, we always went to Kentucky lake in April in Paris Tenn. Used to be a really cheap trip, about $150 then, for the motel on the water with a covered boat slip. Great 6 lane launch there if you don’t get a place on the water. Bass fishing was fantastic, and the golf course across from the launch had a fantastic buffet every evening. Easy one day drive there.

Thanks for digging that up Mr. Beads. I looked up Reelfoot and found reasonable packages including the boat. Have more homework to do, and waiting for others to chime in.

Not sure if you are targeting species. Some Lakes are well known for Hybrid S.B., Crappies, Smallmouth and even Muskies. I’ve been to Realfoot 3 times. Fishing packages are very competitive among resorts, and very reasonable. I will say, timing is critical. We researched best times to go {spring} and missed all three times on crappies. But one year caught some nice bass. Also, no need for the 300 hp bass boat. They have a few safe channels marked. But about every time you get your nerve up to try to get the boat up on plane. Is usually met with a stump. Most locals fish with 9.9, jon boat and drag a small chunk of log chain to slow a wind drift. The bluegill spawn is later, but they have some dandies. If it’s unseasonably warm. Be careful. A local says once it gets hot. There is a Cottonmouth under about everything you pick up. BTW it’s been quite a few years. But it was a DRY COUNTY when I was there. Next county over had a bar on every corner. Guy I went with is a crappie fishing fanatic. He switched to Mississippi; Enid I believe. And has never been back to Tn.

Just about anything on the Tennessee river system should be good. Bass, trophy catfish, and panfishing.

My bucket list includes fishing for bucketmouth crappies in MS, Grenada or Enid.
