Within the next couple of years we are planning to take the family of four on one of these trips. We will be driving up from Des Moines, so would like a flight from just across the border to destination. Thanks.
I can recommend Mahekun Lodge as I have been there. The fishing is unreal… plus the scenery, shore lunches and solitude are unmatched. I think you can fly right from Winnipeg, with a change to a float plane in Thompson, MB.

Hands down, the best fly-in I have ever been to. Food is excellent, fishing is outstanding and the cabins are gorgeous. A little on the pricey side, but it’s all well worth it.
