    Im looking for a good rod,reel and line set up i have a handful of rigs for multi species fishing but id like to have a nice smooth casting to a
    good distance kinda rig for walleye if anyone has suggestions?

    I have a st croix avid for sale in the classifieds. Brand new. Thats a good start. Pair it with a shimano Sahara suffix 832 and 5 ft leader.

    Agreed, that’s a smoking hot price on that rod.

    I’m more of a fireline crystal user myself.

    For distance I always look at 7′ rods or longer. Maybe check out some of them new release St. Croix Victory rods. The Shimano Zodias rods or even Diawa Rebellion rods offer a lot of value at that price point too.
