Subsonic Ammunition

    Just a point of curiosity…

    I recently discovered that Hornady is making subsonic ammo for short range deer calibers like 300 Blackout, 350 Legend, and 450 Bushmaster. I’m just curious, when these options are primarily 200yds tops already, what is the point of interest in slowing them down to speeds near 1,000 fps?

    So they do not exceed the speed of sound and produce a ballistic crack when using a sound suppressor.
