Anyone have first hand experience with this one?

I’ve got a domino problem to solve. Looking at a new rod however it’s longer than my current rod case(JT Walleye Snare @ 36″). This case claims to handle 36″ max rod length.

FYI – not interested in the various hard cases out there. I really like the idea of one case for rods, tackle, and a few misc items.

My brother has one and likes it. The stitching blew out on one of the straps on the first trip and needed patchwork, but that’s it. I have reservations about using the tubes, but he hasn’t broken a rod yet…

My son and I both have the Transporter case and like them. Really like the storage in the big center compartment.

For local day trips I use a flambau hard case. It fits 6 long rods and reels. You can buy this at Fleet farm. When I go on a long weekend run somewhere not near home, I use a hard gun case, and bring all my rods. You can fit 10+ in, and don’t have to fold the reel handle in. Just a tip.

That’s exactly where my concern is a well. Tubes break stuff and looking to use the full 36″ length plus a noodle tip on the rod. I would hate to spend this kind of money on a case and rod only to break stuff. Appreciate the feedback!

I have been using the transporter for 4-5 years now. Have not broken any rods since. I don’t have any 36″ rods though. Longest I have is 26″. I actually store 7 combos in mine. 3 on the one side in the transporter tubes and 4 on the other side with 2 in the transporter tubes and 2 more in ht rod tubes on the outside of those. Plus all kinds of tackle storage in 4 outside pockets and big center storage area. I love it!

Be very careful with anything over 32” in the Striker Transporter. I really like mine but did break a TUCR Precision QT in mine. I have had 0 problems with my shorter rods. I’ve read where others have had the longer rods broken in it. But overall I love mine just watch the longer rods in it. waytogo

Thanks Glenn, that’s exactly what I was afraid of.

I own one I got 30” and 28” no issues. I like and don’t like the tubes. My rec guides always catch the edge of the tube if I don’t get down and look exactly at the tube. But I love the top compartment I got stocking cap, extra gloves, baseball cap, spoon-box, 3 kenders jig boxes. Side pockets I got flashlights, tape and line snips, I got plastics in another and jigs and spoons I haven’t opened in another.extra line anything to keep on fishing.

I like my Eagle claw 39 in hard case. It holds 36 in combos 4-6 depending on the reels. Multiple plano small boxes and lots of room for plastics and stuff. all held tight in foam.

In theory this is about the best rod/tackle storage case out there, but a few details missed the mark.
First, there is unnecessary fabric inside the rod compartment which everything gets caught in. I had a custom noodle rod break the first time I used the case. The seam came apart on one of the side compartments after the 3rd use.
I still use the case because I haven’t really found anything better for hauling all my gear, but the quality just isn’t what I was hoping.
