Love mine, just got in the mail today actually! On sale at Gander online for $64.99 no joke. Well worth it, the quality is excellent and will work perfect for those days where the Striker coat is overkill for me.

Just to be clear, do you have any real world experience with it yet? Looking myself for something in the between stuff.

Obviously not if I got it today, but I think it will fill the bill for an in between sweatshirt/coat. Definitely warm.

Ordered one from Gander. For that price couldn’t pass it up. Plus got an extra 10% off.

trying to figure out what the difference is in the gander online model it’s listed as the (lake effect) model and the graphics are different than mine on the front and back.

Not seeing on Gander site. Do you have a picture of the hoodie? I love fishing in hoodies rather than jackets.

How do these things wear for size? They are out of XLs, sometimes can fit larges.

Love mine, pouring rain, wind, no match. Zippered armpits, nice zippers all around, wire in the hook to keep it’s shape.

Chest pocket perfect for your phone.

It also repels Musky slime pretty well…lol.

Not familiar with the hoodie. But if it is the same or similar to the liner jacket that goes with the climate…I wear it probably 200 days a year, last 3 years. Awesome Jacket.

    Hoodie…I dunno.

Yeah, that’s a softshell jacket, no question – don’t let the word “hoodie” throw you off.

That said, softshells are a great piece of equipment, I wear mine most days a true hardshell isn’t needed as it’s way closer to wearing a sweatshirt vs a rain jacket/parka. If I didn’t have two other softshell jackets I really like, I’d buy this one in a heartbeat.

And yes, it appears to be about the same as the liner in the Climate Jacket as FBRM mentions.

Yeah, using hoodie to describe this JACKET seems a bit off. This is nothing like a typical hoodie, at all.

Just got mine in the mail today. Definetly not a hoodie as described. Overall a nice alternative to your winter parka.

I ordered 2 from Gander Mtn and just got them yesterday. Very similar to the liner of the Climate (which I have too). I would say the “hoody” is a little thicker/heavier than the liner and it obviously has a “hood” too. I am glad that I ordered 2. You can never have too many of these and I do like the quality of the Striker products.

How do they look for sizes? I wear an XL generally but those seem to be all sold out on Gander Mtn. Normal Larges sometimes fit and sometimes don’t. Do they run a little big?

I’ve wanted to buy another jacket for casual wear since my jacket is perma slimed and faded… Just have not yet. Got the Milwaukee heated for casual, but I’d rather wear the striker jacket. Super nice. Uber durable.

I normally wear XL shirts, but got a 2XL. Fits over a normal hoodie, and Neoprene waders well. I want a bit bigger fit, I think and XL would have been a bit tight on me.

I normally wear a medium to large in jackets and swearshirts. I ordered a large and it is “roomy” on me. It’s not too big, but I could wear a sweatshirt under it if necessary.

I’ve never been much of a hoodie fan. What the jacket offers that the hoodie doesn’t is ability to adjust warmth.

    Armpit zips are awesome.
Of course you can zip down the jacket too.

With the hoodie… No adjustment. Just saying.

Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered it. Also googled Gander Promo codes, and got another $5 off (code GMT5). You can hardly buy a nice regular hoodie sweatshirt for $59.99.

I just got mine in the mail. I’m a touch under 5’7″, 165 and a large fit me fine. I wouldn’t want to go any bigger or smaller. Great jacket.
