I picked these up as well. I was going to get the ice armor gloves but these were less bulky around the fingers. I have had them on the ice three times and so far I really like them. Easy to get on/off and warm.
December 29, 2016 at 12:56 pm #1660607I would not recommend Ice Armour gloves. I have gone through several pairs the last few years and they have all ripped around the thumb. They do have good customer service and warranty, I was able to keep on exchanging pairs. Eventually I had enough and got a different brand of glove.
December 29, 2016 at 1:58 pm #1660624The Striker Climate Gloves are excellent, and have proved to be very durable though a season and a half of ice fishing. They’re in like-new condition.
I went the Striker route after ruining two pairs of Ice Armor gloves in under a month last season. I returned the first pair to Mill’s and got a replacement. It lasted only a day before the seams near the fingers tore in the same place as the first. So I got my money back and went with the Climate Gloves.
I would strongly advise against getting Ice Armor gloves unless they’re totally redesigned in the stitching department. It’s a shame because they were exceptionally warm and wind-proof gloves. It’s just the material is too thin where it’s stitched.

I thought since they were called ICE armor they’d be pretty resistant to fire, but apparently not.
Is it so much to ask for a warm pair of gloves that keeps water out and is flame retardant?

I’ve been using these with good success and the are 35 bucks for Extra large mens on Amazon.
Gordini Men’s Promo Gauntlet Gore-Tex GlovesDecember 29, 2016 at 9:16 pm #1660734Ice armor gloves are flat out worthless. I had a pair of the extreme and they are full of loose fabric and holes in the thumbs, They do have a 5 year warranty but it’s a pain to have to switch them out. I was looking at the striker climate gloves too. They seem to be better built and an all around better glove. However, the ice armor gloves are on sale at scheels to get rid of last years model and got the 60$ gloves for 30$ So I ended up with the ice armor edge gloves…

Same here. My first pair of Ice Armor(5 years or so ago) were great and held up well. When I replaced, I didn’t get through a season with the new ones. Picked up another pair early spring last year on clearance-this weekend I started springing tears in the thumbs and index fingers. Junk. Time for new and better.
