Anyone else have issues with the leg zippers on the Hardwater bibs? I’m in season #2 with this set, and the bottom 2” or so of zipper is missing all of the teeth. What did you do to rectify the issue?

I have both climate and predator bibs, predators get a lot of use over the past 4-5 years and no issues at all.

My guesses would be like the others or some odd defect. Might be worth a call to striker.

I’ve worried about that happening on my hardwater bibs as they are a pretty tight fit over my Baffin boots. I’ve had mine two seasons now and haven’t had an issue yet. I’d contact Striker and see what they will do for you.

I’ve been debating between Hardwater and Predators, does it need to be super cold,-10 and better, to use the Hardwaters? I tend to think they would be way too warm, and heavy, for most applications. What do you use the most?

I have been very happy with my hardwater bibs. They are warm enough to stay out in below zero weather but not too warm to wear when it’s nice out. I get cold easily though so too warm is almost never an issue for me. I have a friend with the predator line and he claims that they are warm enough for him to use all season.
If you predominantly fish outside I’d recommend the hardwater, if you use a portable most of the time I’d suggest the predators.

I am on year two with my predators and no issues.I have had no problem staying warm in them down to 5-10 degrees and some wind.

Do you tuck the zipper up and snap the button on the bottom of the bibs ? I’ve never had a problem with mine

I rarely ever use the climate suit, I bought the predators first for using late/early season in the boat and then found a great deal on the climate suit and bought that about a year later and it has seen very little use. The predator suit seems warm enough for me down to about 5-10 degrees F, depends on how much you move around. I don’t have the hardwater bibs but do know that the have a thicker fabric that should last a bit longer but also be a little less flexible. I believe the climate suit is similar to the predator suit if you take the liners out but can confirm that.
