I know that the striker apex bibs are a hit with many on this site. Both the striker and simms bibs are about $300 with current sales. Besides striker having flotation, any reviews or preferences? I fish a lot outside in the winter and generally kneel down next to the hole. But I also wear my bibs throughout the spring and fall in the boat. Currently have the Striker Hardwater suit and it’s way too bulky. Feels like I had 100lbs to me every time I put them on.

The apex suit is awesome. My climate suit was so bulky, and the apex is no where near that. I have no idea on the challenger suit but I’m sure it’s awesome as well. But I will put a great word towards the apex. You can buy the bibs, jacket and gloves for 550 right now on sale. Same sale I hit last year.

Yeah sorry that was supposed to say 599. But I see its for the attack gloves. No idea what those are, but the apex gloves are pretty solid. They do run small tho.

Pro fishing prices must have went up, this was my receipt from last year for the apex jacket, bibs, and gloves. 509 shipped.

Still well worth it. I wouldn’t pay full price but the sale is great.

I was in the Market for New bibs and Tried the Eskimo Legend Bibs and really like them. Picked them up in December and have no complaints way warmer then my IA bibs. More flexible and better fit. Ive only war them four times only.

I went through a similar evaluation a few years ago where my old Ice Armor bibs finally wore out and I was considering a few different options. I had concerns that the Simms bibs wouldn’t be warm enough since everyone commented that they were lighter and less bulky. After 3 seasons with the Simms bibs, I can say that I’m happy with my choice. They have good knee pads, good waterproofing, are warm enough where you don’t have to layer up underneath them and are all around what I was looking for(This is coming from someone who has average body temp. Not someone who is chronically cold). The ONLY thing I don’t like is that my Ice Armor bibs had a zipper pocket or two on the chest which I miss having. However, looks like the new Simms bibs have gotten rid of the open hand pockets on the chest in favor of the single zipper pocket. They are comfortable and not too bulky in the boat as well, which is nice. OVERALL, I think Bearcat is right that you can probably make your choice on style preferences and what kind of deals you find and will be happy with them.
