I have both a 12” and 20” extension and the fit is very loose to say the least. I’m having to retighten after every hole. I’m really surprised that this is the best they could come up with. I know I can get a longer bolt with a locknut but it still wobbles because the fit is sloppier than my first encounter….. well you get the idea. Are they aware of this? Are they changing anything? If not I’ll work with the machinist at work and come up with something. I love the auger other than this issue.

Your best bet is work with the machinist. Have him make you one on the side. I made my own out of aluminum and it works great

Had a machinist buddy make these for a few of us. 18” internal extension. Fits inside your flyte. Never be without it again.

Now that right there is an awesome idea! Can’t believe that wouldn’t come stock from the manufacturers.

Jiffy has a 6” that goes inside the flyte. That doesn’t do SFA up here!

Great idea! Thanks for sharing. That’s what I will make for sure. As long as we’re talking Strikemaster augers a little trick I use is to shim the blades 10 thousandths. You won’t believe how much better it cuts also get way more longevity out of s set of blades.
