Strikemaster Chipper Drill on Lazer Pro

I love my 10″ Lazer Pro – flies through the ice. The only issue I’ve had with it is that it seems to not drill through the ice in Milwaukee Harbor very well. I’ve tried changing blades, etc but it seems to only shave the ice out there very slightly, and I have to put a TON of pressure to get through, and it takes a while. It was suggested to me that the chipper blades would work better out there because there is dirty ice. I’ve stopped at other lakes on the way home from Milwaukee and my lazer pro will fly though said ice without a problem, leading me to believe my lazer blades just don’t work well on the Milwaukee Harbor ice.

I happen to have a 10.25″ Chipper drill unit from an old auger that doesn’t run. Would this be harmful to use on my Lazer Pro head unit? Any suggestions would be great.

You won’t have any issues. Strikemaster actually sells a Solo Chipper Mag which is the 2.5 HP version of the auger you currently run.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it! Just waiting for ice to form in the harbor… until then, using the kayak to land some giant browns!
